Things are developing rather quickly in the internet world of the Pinole Music Collective. Eleven past releases have been archived using Bandcamp, and plenty of music projects have their own Bandcamp pages with releases up, with more pages on the way. The PMC’s own Bandcamp page just got a makeover to match the newly created Tumblr page, which will be used to post news about music projects, their shows, and whatever’s going on with all of this internet business. The Facebook page has been a little slow lately, as you may have noticed. It was primarily used to post show updates, and was pretty informative until this whole online project began to unfold. It’ll be up and running again once this mess is through, but this Tumblr page will be the main source of news, and the upcoming Google-powered calendar will be used for events.
This is what you can expect in the very near future (as much as possible will be finished by this year’s end): A lot more archived past releases, more individual music project Bandcamp pages, regular news postings using this Tumblr account, a calendar featuring every music project’s upcoming shows, a wiki-based site featuring information on music projects past and present (this will probably be the last thing to happen), and a domain name (pinolemusic.com).
Please send us any recommendations you may have! We’re always looking for ways to make this project more useful to you, because that’s the point of all of this—for you guys to be able to access information on the local music projects quickly and easily.
